Azelio specializes in energy storage with clean electricity and heat production. We have a solution to one of the biggest challenges facing the world today: how to supply affordable renewable power, when and where it is needed. Our TES.POD storage technology is revolutionary in that the energy becomes dispatchable, making renewable energy available around-the-clock. The energy is stored in recycled aluminium and converted into electricity and heat with a total efficiency of up to 90%. The solution is scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient from 0.1 MW up to 20 MW.
The Electrical engineering & Software team are responsible for development of power electronics, control system electronics, PLC- and embedded software and we are looking for motivated and talented colleagues! The greatest challenge in the near future is to develop our system into a fully industrialized product ready for high volume production. The Automation Engineer will have an important role designing and developing a multi-point control system on automation level.
Your position
As an Automation Engineer your main focus will be development of the automation part of the control system. You will work tightly together with the Design Lead for the complete power- and control system and supporting the overall control system design with automation expertise and solutions.
Your tasks will include:
- Support work with specifications (system-, requirements-, test- etc) on control system level.
- Responsible for specifications (system-, requirements-, test- etc) on automation level.
- Responsible for design and implementation of the PLC functionality, HMI solutions and communication interfaces.
- Responsible for analysing and specifying dimensions and parameters for frequency converters.
- Responsible for PLC, HMI and communication verification.
- Responsible for test and evaluation of new control systems and drive unit solutions.
- Managing risks and mitigations of the PLC, HMI, communication interfaces and contributing control system parts.
Your profile
You are a suitable candidate if you have a Master or Bachelor Engineering degree within Electrical Engineering. Your main area of expertise is within the field of PLC- and HMI design and programming, frequency converters and communication protocols. You have good knowledge with the methods and processes used in both the design- and implementation phase as well as the those used in the verification phase. Experience of Profinet protocol, SCADA system and safety PLCs are considered meritorious.
You are a team player with strong drive and a will to take responsibility. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You are structured and meticulous about every detail. Helping your colleagues and sharing information is a given for you. As part of the assignment may include travel and work in remote areas, you must be able to act independently, exercise sound judgment and be fluent in English. French and/or Arabic are considered as a merit.
