Software Engineer - Under tillsättning eller tillsatt, ej sökbar

The Electrical engineering & Software team are responsible for development of power electronics, control system electronics, PLC- and embedded software and we are looking for motivated and talented colleagues! The greatest challenge in the near future is to develop our system into a fully industrialized product ready for high volume production. The Software Engineer will have an important role in specifying, implementing and verifying the control system software.            

Your position

As a Software Engineer your main focus is to develop the control system software. You will be involved in all development phases, from system design to verification and test. You will work tightly together with both the module owner of the control system as well as the owners of the mechatronic modules in the complete product, were the need for system design is essential.

Your tasks will include:

• Break down of overall system requirements to subsystem and module requirements.
• Define and describe system functions together with module owners of the mechatronics modules.
• Write specifications (system-, requirements-, test- etc) on subsystem and module level.
• Implement the design in relevant software language for our different platforms.
• Ensure that suggested designs follow necessary standards and regulations.
• Participate in FMEAs, risk analysis on subsystem and module level.
• Specify and perform relevant testing and verification on unit level and for specific tasks.
• Support test department.

Your profile

You are a suitable candidate if you have a Master or Bachelor degree within Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Mechatronics Engineering with software focus. You have a deep understanding of software development principals and your main area of expertise is within the field of system analysis and system design. You have good knowledge with the methods and processes used in both the design- and implementation phase as well as the those used in the verification phase. You have experience of methods for requirement- and system analysis. You are familiar with Agile development methods. Experience of C, C++, Java, Python, Matlab, Enterprise Architect, git, Jira, Jenkins, Unit tests and Hardware In the Loop (HIL) integration tests are considered as merits.

You are a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, you can clearly and effectively communicate with internal engineering teams as well as other stakeholders. You love problem-solving and your analytic skills are strong. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You have a can-do attitude with focus on result and quality. Helping your colleagues and sharing information is a given for you. As part of the assignment may include travel and work in remote areas, you must be able to act independently, exercise sound judgment and be fluent in English. French and/or Arabic are considered as a merit.
