Azelio specializes in energy storage with clean electricity and heat production. We have a solution to one of the biggest challenges facing the world today: how to supply affordable renewable power, when and where it is needed. A game-changing long-duration storage technology with emission free energy production, our solution comes at a significantly lower cost than L-ion batteries and polluting fossil alternatives.

Our TES.POD storage technology is revolutionary in that the energy becomes dispatchable, making renewable energy available around-the-clock. The energy is stored in recycled aluminium and converted into electricity and heat with a total efficiency of up to 90%. The solution is scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient from 0.1 MW up to 20 MW.

Azelio is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the team to develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Scouting, screening and identification of new business ideas/opportunities and viable income streams;
  • Arrange and carry out business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Identify, select, negotiate and work closely with local representatives/ sales partners
  • Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area (North Africa/Middle East) to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Participate in sales negotiations and in pricing the product/service.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Manage and supervise the transfer of the project after sales is signed to the project manager.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and support the after-sales managers and team
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in the client/partners organisation or financial institutions
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products and aftersales services and be able to advise others about them
  • Ensure staff of involved technical departments are on board throughout the organisation and understand the need for change and what is required of them. This implies to travel may weekly to Gothenburg and /or Åmål for exchanging market intelligence and getting updates about technical developments and issue (paid business trips).
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
  • Build financial models for evaluating potential projects
  • Train new members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
  • Lead promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Attend and speaker at seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
  • Assist in setting the department objectives and plan;
  • Assist in budget planning of the department and following up periodically
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
  • Plan sales campaigns

 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering related to energy, having additional training on Business Management is a plus
  • Proven working experience in business development, sales or related roles for 2,5 years
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally. Proficiency in English and Arabic; Swedish is a plus
  • Good market and technology (CSP) knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Availability for international travel (> 90 days abroad) and national travel (> 30 days)
